Remember when 2015 Z28s could be bought for over $20k off of MSRP?

I saved this from our website back when GM had the 20% off rebate in 2015. I think these were the last 5th gens we had and the Z/28 still didn't sell at that price before the rebates ended. Crazy.

I bought my first one from an Autonation dealer in Phoenix Dec 15 for that price. Should have waited as you could have gotten one for a tad under 50k a year later. In fact i found one for DAN Z/28 on here for around 48k new if memory serves.

Got my Z/28 for 42k with 2000 miles on the click. Sold it for a bit over 50k during the China flu. I doubt we’ll ever see discounts like that ever again for ICE vehicles with a V8.

I'm sure we will all live to see huge discounts on vehicles again, but as someone stated in a preceding message, we probably won't see it on ICE v8's, with the possible exception of the Mustang. It appears that Ford plans to continue to build V8 Mustangs almost indefinitely; it will still be around when the supply/demand equation is a little more balanced.

On December 15, I paid that price to an Autonation dealer in Phoenix for my first one. You should have waited since a year later you could have purchased one for just under $50,000. In fact, if memory serves, I discovered one for a DAN Z/28 on this site for about 48k brand new.

Carried on into 2016. Bought my Z06 3LZ for 20% off. Mine was the red one, top left.

Also bought our 2020 X7 at peak Covid for $20K off MSRP / $63K, CPO with 4K miles. 2 years and 24K miles later, local BMW dealer tried to buy it from us for $67K. Should’ve sold it.

A 3LZ for 20% off was a killer deal. My brother just sold his ‘15 3LZ for a $1000 more than he paid for it 4 years ago. Clown world.

I remember some of the SS (sedans) going for 20% off too. I got my 2017 for 16% off, and the trade in right is is only 900 less than I paid for it.

Well figure a 2015 Z28 in today's money would be about 100K and sale money 75k. Was a lot for "that car"
