1LE

Hey guys I have been on a waiting list for a ZL1 for a year and a half, I give up, I feel the need for speed now lol. So I'm going to order a 2019 SS. I was going to order the ZL1 without out the 1LE package because I wanted to use the car more then just on the track. Question: if you get the 1LE package on an SS is it the same as it would be on the ZL1?

unless things have changed (you'd have to check the chevy site and do the comparisons) the ZL1 1LE comes with the DSSV's, assortment of rear suspension arm, cradle upgrades, etc...

where as the SS, will still be on Magnetic ride control, and FE4 suspension.

the ZLE (ZL1 + 1LE) will be on the FEA suspension.

The SS 1LE is very capable, however it is a street car first , track car second.

The ZL1 1LE is a track car first, street car second.

Not a very good dealer.

Did you put your name in at more than one dealer?

I'm sorry, I disagree. A car that is built with no creature comfort delete available is not a track car first.

A car built with a heated steering wheel, AC with dual climate control, heated/cooled 65+lb. fully electronically controlled/adjustable seats, Bose sound with complete infotainment system, my link, home link, extensive sound insulation, power everything, ABS always on, TCS and StabiliTrak on unless switched off ... Just to name a few is not a track car first; perhaps, unless modified. 5th gen. Z28 was closer to a track car first, but ultimately still a street car first.

COPO is a track car; no VIN, zero DOT, EPA compliance.

Heater optional, no AC, all the fat trimmed, barely DOT compliant... that is a track car first.

No, ZLE is an extremely track capable and well engineered street car.

Yes the ride is FIRM, but in no discernable way is it rough (especially if you have a set and understand the engineers and designers intent). Is the ride precise, controlled, predictable and settled; hell yes!

However, if I can call my mom by pushing a button on the steering wheel, it is a street car first and IMHO a VERY capable track car.

I don't totally disagree with you, but you are taking my statement to the extreme.

I am talking about 2 cars that exist, not a hypethetical car. With the Gen 6 Camaro, I stand by my statement.

If I get a SS with the 1LE package, am I going to be able to daily drive it, or will I need a kidney belt?

It rides like a luxury GT car in tour mode... only issue is the tire noise can be very loud on some surfaces. Way smoother ride vs my previous STi.

My car is grey, but I really like them all. For '19 I'd have a hard time not going with orange.

I think the 1LE is a deal for what you get, it looks much nicer vs the regular SS too, imo.

It's overkill for the street though, and for some the extra expense of larger tires and brakes might not be worth it. The rear diff and shocks are also more expensive to replace, probably by a lot. And, it's not like the regular SS is just going to blow up if you take it to the track. I went back and forth on it myself, part of choosing the 1LE was getting a really good deal on one, another is the fact I'd probably always regret not getting one.

Oh nice grey, so your hood must be black then. I'm thinking on getting the red garnent, I like that you get the Recaro seats with it. I'm getting so pumped can't wait. Dave, the question I was asking is... so a ZL1 with the 1LE package, would that be the same suspension as you would get on an SS, as I said I was on a waiting list for a ZL1 and gave up, any way if I was to get the ZL1 I was not going to get the 1LE package because what I read and saw about that is it was more of a track rig, and I really just want a street cruiser. so if I get an SS with the 1LE pack will that be the same as the ZL1?
