Why aren't we seeing more ZL1 1LE Wheel Installs??

Curious why so few people are doing the OEM GM 1LE wheels on a "base" ZL1 ?

I did 1LE spec'd wheels, but I figured if I'm gonna get wheels, they might as well be a little different than everyone else.

Curious to see why people think HPDE is a racing event? You going to lose a second by going with 20mm wider tires? Set faster lap times by improving the driver.

Because the base ZL1 wheels look better. ZLE wheels are purpose oriented for the track (lighter)

That's in the eye of the beholder. I think stock ZL1 wheels are too big and look weird. Here's a ZL1 base with ZL1 1LE wheels. Looks great!

Agreed. The 1LE wheels look much better.

Personally, I think the 19" Z28 wheels look better. Been trying to find an aftermarket set. But all of the vendors seem to only sell that design in the 20" size. I want the 19's...

I would love to see a ZL1 with OEM Z28 19" wheels, has anyone done this?

Yes, we have a guy here with a ZL1 1LE and the OEM Z/28 wheels.

It looks awesome and perfect fitment. I'm thinking of doing the same on my ZLE or going with HRE FFO4 in 19" with some 325 MT DR's on the rear.

Then keep the stock ones for the track.

I'll see if I can find some. Here's a video of the car I referenced that Phastek had in the shop where you can see the clearance @the 1:15 mark.

This one shows the wheels at the 12:30 mark but you can't get a good view of clearance since it's been jacked up and not settled down.

They don’t make the FF04 in 19s. At least they didn’t 8-10 months ago when I asked them to.

The OEM Z/28 wheels work perfect on the ZL1 1LE....and....I get comments all the time that they look better too.

First pick was last year with Hoosiers mounted, second is this year with Pirellis.
