Issue with dark tail lights installed on Camaro LT (not about hyper-flashing)

Ok, I just installed the LED tail lights on my Camaro LT. And of course, I was stupid and didn't know you needed the resistor harness to make them compatible with the LT, so I'm getting hyper-flashing turn signals of course (ordered the harness from Gen5diy immediately). But, I'm having another issue: the running lights seem to flicker and die (the brake lights and reverse lights seem to work just fine). Also, I notice a battery drain as well as my remote start and factory alarm doesn't work unless I start the car manually and let the battery charge.

What I want to know is if this issue is directly tied to me not having the harness? Or, is it a battery issue? Or, are the LEDs in the running lights just starting to give out?
