How Does the ZL1 non-1LE Ride Compare to SS non-1LE?

I am curious if anyone has compared the ride of the 6th Gen ZL1 non-1LE with the 6th Gen SS non-1LE on the Tour (softest) setting of the magnetic ride control shocks (or SS with base suspension).

Had fifty ss non MRC
Have ZL1 std A10

Day and night
SS std seat non MRC you can feel the road and you are tired after couple 100miles...
Zl1 with recaro seat and MRC: super smooth, you are confortable in the seat, MRC just make the road smooth and easy

I find that surprising. When I test drove an SS before buying my SS 1LE, the ride was WAY softer. MRC is awesome, but the springs and sway bars on an SS 1LE or ZL1 are much stiffer.

The MRC soaks up individual bumps pretty well. But the FE4 suspension really does not like uneven roads very much. Try driving over railroad tracks at an angle, or a weirdly/unevenly crowned backroad.

I owned a 2016 Camaro 2SS 6M with MRC and now own a 2018 ZL1 10A. The ride suppleness seems to be very nearly the same with the advantage going to the seats in the ZL1. I did a 4,000+ mile trip to South Dakota / Montana (furthest point - Little Big Horn) in the SS and I just returned from a 1,500+ mile trip to Northern AR in the ZL1.

Both cars are amazing. The ZL1 has a bit more road noise, at times (wider tires). The seats in the ZL1 (as stated earlier) are really good. The rest is pretty equal as far as just settling in with the cruise set and eating up 700+ miles in a day when the agenda called for it.

Agreed. Before my A10 ZL1 I owned a '16 M6 2SS with MRC. And yea both are all day cars. I expected to pay a price on ride and comfort with the ZL1 and there was no price. Amazing how comfortable the ZL1 is with all the speed and supercar handling. How did they do it? And why aren't ZL1s and Camaros in general selling like hotcakes?

Value for comfort / performance is un-matched. ~$45K in the SS gets you a world class sports car. Comfortable all day long and V8 power anywhere, any time. The ZL1 has to be driven to be understood. It literally is that good.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm impressed that so many people consider the ZL1 such a good riding car.

I test drove a SS 2SS MRC vert before buying my car. In Tour, the SS was a little softer on the street (but not by much) and had noticeably more body roll and less grip in corners. This is probably as much to do with the tires as with the MRC calibration.

Track mode in the Z is much stiffer than the SS. Track mode in the SS is more like Sport mode on the Z.
