New humming noise in my 2016 Camaro 2SS

So I just got back from a 10 hour trip last night and within the last three hours of the drive a noise I had never heard before started. at first I thought some Honda with its exhaust cut off was behind me but after awhile I realized it was from my rear end. I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced this or knows a solution to it. What is happening is when I am at speed starting at around 30mph I can hear a humming noise from the rear and its most noticeable at 65ish MPH. It gets louder/higher pitched the faster I go. I'm trying to figure out if its the rear diff (I hop not) or maybe my wheel bearings are going out? I've got 74k miles on the car now. Like I said any ideas or suggestions are much appreciated. I'm going to take it to a family friend tomorrow who is a mechanic and if he doesn't know I'll just take it to my dealer.

It should be noted I just had my left rear axle replaced by my dealer a couple months ago. But again I didnt notice any noise on my trip until 3 hours left on my way home.

Well, since work was just done, of course its suspect, but also just get underneath and make sure something isnt wrapped around an axle or driveshaft.

Be surprised how much of this kind of thing is just road debris or trash wedged in somewhere its not supposed to be.

I had to start replacing wheel bearings at around 55K miles. At 119K, I have replaced them all now. Mine would start around 45-50mph and would be most prominent at 65.

Likely wheel bearings. Mine started going bad at 65K. You can tell which side is bad by swerving the car a little to shift weight transfer and see if the sound gets worse to determine which side the bad bearing is on, then jack up and check for play. Rear ones are a pain in the ass to change but doable. Mechanic wanted $700 to change ONE but for DiY it can be done for ~$100 each wheel.

Your mechanic is a thief. I'm a retired auto tech, have all the tools but no lift. I did both rears with a floor jack in <2 hrs.
