SC3R Street Miles?

My 2018 SS 1LE needs tires and the OEM sized/model tires are backordered (rears) for over a month with no eta insight.

I'm considering the SC3R's as they are available. More money and softer...

Yes, I would benefit on the track (~6 days a year), but combined with the wear/expense...having second thoughts.

How many street miles have folks gotten out of these?

Thanks!

In cold weather or rain, they are treacherous at best! I have successfully driven on them a few thousand miles but any hint of rain and I have to stop if the tires are not up to operating temperature.

What sizes are you needing to find?

I wanna say the "average" life is around 5-6k miles if no track days. Sc3s are close to 8k.

As the other poster stated, if you are anywhere that gets rain, or cold, I would not recommend EITHER tire (for a daily). A spare track set...sure. but any rain and both tires will be horrible at best. If you are in Germany, then I wouldnt use them unless on the track or if the car is a weekend toy

Thanks, folks for the responses. I do live in Germany and the weather is not ideal, certainly. However, the driving season is nearly over as it is...

I'm not willing to consider as too much of a downgrade to my currents. I expect to return to the SC3's when production is available.

Thanks for the suggestion though!
