PRAY Performance Cam gains 75/23rw. 562/500rw.

Got back on my normal dyno today. I was running into some TM things and it limited me a little bit. I need to work my TQ Coefficients again. I also didn't have time to start moving my injector timing back towards stock to see if that helped anything. It is retarded right now. I know there was more in there cause it put down 547/478rw in 5th. I ALWAYS get a 23-25rw bump from 5th to 6th. Didn't see that this time. Total gains 189/111rw so far. Still SBE.

Graph one is stock vs. bolt on/Heads vs. H/C now.

Graph two is just heads vs. H/C.

And H/C alone.

Impressive

Cam doesn't kick in until 5000rpm.
Why is that?

It's up 12-15rw from 3,500to 4,200. Then it takes back off at 4,700. So there is a gain there even though it is ever so slight. I didn't get the compression I wanted out of this thing. That is definitely hurting down low. It could also be that I am exceeding my tq tables greatly down low and only slightly up top. I also designed this cam with going 9's as the single goal. I did think I would see a solid 20rwtq bump across the board but I just didn't get it. I wouldn't change anything though.

Thanks guys.

Looking at the graphs some more I have come to the conclusion that the bump where the tq curves meet is due to the whole curve is shifted right about 750rpm which makes perfect sense.

I am thinking it will go 9.9 maxed out. 107 in the 1/8 and 135 in the 1/4. Time to work on the car now. I don't think I am going to get much more put of the motor. I wish I would have done a better job with the fly cutting. There is still more porting to be done in the IM and heads as well. I am also reworking my PCV system. I would really like to squeeze another 10rw out of this thing.

Those are some impressive numbers. If you trap 135 that would be crazy.

I am sure it will take a 26" tire and some weight reduction and negative DA but all three of those things are easily done. Winter is rapidly approaching so the weather should start looking good. HPT also just released a bunch of converter tables we have been missing. There should be some more mph in there once I figure Thise out. But I am more than willing to sacrifice mph for ET up front. The next couple months are going to be very interesting.

I really cannot imagine any H/C package yielding a larger net gain than your package did. Brett, although I am not sure you ever tested this, in all the testing you have done or heard about, do you have any idea how much a catted car loses vs non-catted (e.g. 10-12 hp)?
