Upgrading my cam, some questions.

I have just received my comp cam 227/235, and valve springs as well as an upper pulley, solid isolator, and heat x. Don’t know much about cams and what I need but my tuner said I should be fine with just the cam and springs. Than I stumble upon all these other threads about cams and upgrading pushrods, and trunion kits, whats a trunion kit? And are these parts necessary? My tuner didn’t mention them to me so didn’t think they were needed. Thoughts? The car already has bolt ons aswell.

Never heard of not upgrading the pushrods, the rockers i did just because, lots of people dont upgrade the them...

Not sure who your tuner is but if he really said "should be fine" throws a red flag... either it will be fine or it wont.

yeah, i HIGHLY suggest upgrading your pushrods when doing a cam and the trunion kit is also recommended (it's a bearing upgrade kit and pretty cheap considering).

looks like u may have already but if I was you id Google supporting mods for a cam swap and add camaro5.com at the end. So much info right there alone, it can be a little overwhelming
