Hellcat to ZL1

Picked up my ZL1 a on 5/13. Traded my 2016 Challenger Hellcat 634 miles away near Miami. I'll probably never drive that far for a car again, but this car is worth it and the dealership experience was awesome. The dealer was Keith Pierson Chevrolet. They gave all applicable discounts and gave too dollar for my trade, without any funny business with my numbers. They did try at first, but when they realized I wasn't a rookie they dealt straight. I love what's going on with American cars now. I have nothing negative to say about the Hellcat as far as its performance. It does exactly what it was intended to do. That being said, I feel the ZL1 is just about the best car that can be bought in this price range, so the Cat had to go. Plus, it looks much better in my opinion. The Hellcat is beefy and muscle car looking, but it's nowhere near as striking as the ZL1 is to me . Well, here are a few pics. I was kinda bummed about missing the exposed cf hood at 1st, but I love the stripe on race red now. Oh yeah, I was a victim of the black start button. Oddly, it starts the car just the same, lol. All kidding aside, I actually think it matches the interior better and prefer it to the silver one. Props to my paint protection installer. He gives every customer a photo shoot when he's done. Auto Shield in Columbia, SC.

The black start button wasn't a dealbreaker? I walked right out of the dealership when I saw that.

j/k

Looks Awesome! Nice Pictures, too.

Looks like you did the Paint Protection close to home.
Did you tape the car up for the journey home, or just a bit of praying?
I flying into to Orlando tomorrow to pick up a KG ZL1 A10.

What was your reasoning for switching up so soon? Nice car.

I used painter's tape and xpel tracwrap. The tracwrap is a temporary film. It works awesome but kinda pricey.

I've had 6 cars in the last 6 years. I sort of have a problem. Besides that, I got enough money off the ZL1 and enough money for my Hellcat trade that it worked out.

What tricks did the dealer try on you?

Tried to sneak in $1500 for lug nuts, nitrogen, and paint protection on the edges of the doors. It was hilarious. I called them out on that, they removed it, and everything was cool after that.
