More issues! Need some help figuring out.

Ok...So my car just came back about 2 weeks ago from the dealer for the whole A8 debacle of it basically falling apart and essentially having most of transmission rebuilt. Was working great, shifting fine, was happy as a clam. Was a beautiful day here yesterday, decided to go for a ride with the family. On the way home, car started making a weird rattling type of noise, appears to be coming from directly under the middle of the car, kind of where the center console is. I didn't record a sound clip of it, but the best I describe it as a distorted speaker sound. it is noticeable more when taking off and slowing down before a stop. When I got home, inspected underneath, didn't see anything out of the ordinary, but left the car running in the driveway. When I revved the engine in park, my wife who was standing right near the drivers side exhaust in the back, could hear the same rattling/distorted speaker type sound coming from the exhaust.

My question is to everyone, is this the infamous NPP rattling issue that occurred from the get go with a lot of cars? I was thinking the whole time that it was exhaust when I was driving, and now this kind of sort of confirmed it. Don't think it is a transmission issue, shifts fine still, but who the hell knows. I am going to bring it in soon when I can this week, dreading bringing it again after being there for a week just 2 weeks ago.

Does it happen in all modes?

Yup all modes...drove it again before, seems like more and more like the transmission again...I am bringing it in to the dealer in about 30 mins...uggg!

Just heard back from the dealer...apparently a transmission line was grounding out and causing this "distorted speaker" sound, they repositioned the line, and all is good. Picking it up later on, we shall see. Not sure if this is from the recall from a few months ago or from the transmission work done 2 weeks ago.

Sounded great, no more issues. The advisor said that they weren't sure which line it was, if it was a cooler line or not, but it was hitting a transmission line mount, they repositioned it. Fingers crossed!
