what color should i paint my headers?

Just got my American Racing headers Ceramic coated at Swain Tech in Rochester. They look great but they told me they will yellow after a while. The coating is great for header paint though. Car is black the ceramic coating is white.

Black will probably look the best after a while.

Go black, if it needs to be touched up later it will be easy and still look fine.

Gloss Black or a bright metallic silver look for sure. Red for me is a strong maybe.

Hmmm. Could you not have had them coated in the color of your choice? When I purchased headers for my GTO (Kooks), I had them coated by Jet Hot in blue (GTO was Impulse Blue Metallic). They had very little discoloration in the nine years they were on the car. I'm just not sure how good a coating (paint) on a coating will work.

I'm weird I guess...would research what color they actually turn into to avoid the frustration of seeing it change after paying for a preference.

they turn yellow??

Swain tech told me they brown after a while. Its a very coarse texture and cleaning would be difficult. but then one guy said he has had them 10 years and they look like new.
