i could have swore when I looked at this hood a month ago the price was around 750-850.

For $750, I would buy it. For $950 he can keep it. For that money you can get a carbon fiber hood. I'll wait for a ZL1 hood.

it's a beautiful hood, but they definitely raised the price to offer this "$1" shipping.

Wow.. I have been looking at these for a couple weeks... waiting to see what I have to buy for my motor before I pulled the trigger on cosmetics.... it was not 950 before. The other thing is, no pictures from the driver seat or passengers seat to see how the hood will affect driver vision.

Other than the pre-order pricing people who were willing to put money down based on the plug and get it at below my cost for ordering MONTHS before they got it, the hood has ALWAYS been priced at $950.

It's been ON SALE for $850 for a couple weeks with $200 shipping.

Right now it's normal pricing, $950 and shipping is only a dollar.

If you want me to put shipping back (at one point shipping was $150 then I got my actual freight bills and ALL were OVER $200 so I sat it at $200, you're still paying less than the actual cost of shipping) and put it on sale at $850 again I will, current sale is $100 cheaper than it has been though

Feel free to buy the goofy lines of the ZL1 Carbon Fiber knock off made out of the USA, no one is stopping you. Our parts got GM's attention (we're in talks of LLP) because our designer made sure even the radius' on the hood lines matched every where else on the car.

Our hood bolts right on, scuff and paint, 100% made in the USA and it definitely cost me a LOT more to make than even other hoods I've had done here (like our Silverado hood) but it's also 100% worth it.

I have no problem paying my vendor more for the quality and I definitely am not going to apologize on pricing considering the design and quality you're getting. I've seen the other hoods in person, you get what you pay for.

It amazes me that a sponsor on an Internet forum is surprised that the members realized that there was no deal at all--actually you raised the price $1. But, I give 6LE credit for coming back with a group buy at $851--that's a good deal on the hood if 5 people will commit.

Let me clarify this again... A week ago, and for the 2 weeks prior, the hoods were priced at $950 ON SALE for $850 and shipping was $150 to $200 (it got raised in the middle of the sale when I went over invoices and saw actual shipping prices). So, buyers PRIOR TO THIS SALE, were paying $1000 to $1050 SHIPPED.

DURING THIS SALE, the price SHIPPED is $951.
