just another reason why Chevy's trim names are stupid.

But on topic: i've driven the V8 and i own the V6. The V8 i was driving had the upgraded brakes and I felt that they sucked extremely hard for daily driving. You touched them and the car wanted to stop on a dime. That may be great and all at speed and tracking but it makes for whiplash just navigating through a parking lot because you have no option for gradual stops ...you're either coasting or not moving instantly. No thank you.

The v6 pedal feels fine to me. But if you wanted to make it stiffer, i'm sure you could firm the pedal up by changing the rubber brake lines with braided steel. That's a fairly cheap option. I've not had an experience i'd equate to the brakes being spongy in my car and I've had it for over a year. Braking can be felt immediately and stopping force is proportional to the pedal travel with nothing feeling abnormal.

Funny. The common complaint is lack of initial bite. I have the 6 Pistons and have no issue whatsoever. They stop me fast if I want them to and they are civil if I want them to be.....it's just that damn dust!!!

big brakes, big dust.

I've got transparent plasti-dip that i'm tempted to use to coat the back and inner rim. . Just spray the inside wheel and every couple months ...peel and re-apply. Seems that would be much less of a hassle than having to clean brake dust out of the rim paint/metal.
