1LE STEERING WHEEL SWAP TO REGULAR 1SS

http://www.thatgmpartsguy.com/1le-ed...86?parent=1035 heres the steering wheel you can get, its fairly easy to install.
1) Unplug the battery in the trunk and wait 5-10 mins
2) Take the air bag module off of the steering wheel-
- there is two holes on left and right side of steering wheel, you basically get a screwdriver and shove it in and pop the airbag off
3) Then you unplug the connectors and place the airbag with the camaro log facing up
4) The hardest part is taking the torx bolt off, I think it was a 45/50 torx bolt dont remember.
5) Remove the steering wheel and put the new one on
6) Plug everything back in on the steering wheel and tighten the bolt up good
7) plug battery in and make sure everything is working

So since you have the 1ss (non heated steering wheel) did you end up ordering the one with the heated? or did you swap out your buttons from old to new? Also, how did you swap your SS insignia at the bottom of the steering wheel?

with patience, you can just take a fabric marker and make them red yourself... there's someone on here who did and it looks perfect. I started it myself, but only on the shifter boot, I will continue later...

If swapped over does the heating work? I'm very interested.

In addition this is so awesome! My wife has been badgering me to install a steering wheel cover and I don't want to deal with that hideousness every day. I'm happy to know I can buy a new steering wheel and swap it out when this one get's scratched up and stuff

Neither are heated and both are SS. Confused by your question..

Its a entire steering wheel with all buttons n emblems on it you just swap over the airbag from old steering wheel over to the new one

The 1le steering wheel doesnt have the heated steering wheel so no you wouldnt get that feature to work

well that was sort of my question, but from the responses, the 1LE does not come with heated but the ZL1 does. So since my current 2SS has heated steering, then I should opt for the zl1 wheel.
