Question 3rd brake light removal

anyone by chance know how to remove the 3rd brake light? like as in how to replace it?

my bodyshop did it for me and heard it was a bitch and you need lil asian fingers lol

It's actually pretty easy. It's pretty much the same as the 14/15 camaros. remove 4 torx screws and metal retainers and push light out. There is a weather seal around the light that will tear when removed. Make sure to replace with another seal when reinstalling. Also reattach and tighten the metal retainers and screws before install. light will just pop back into place and attach plug to light.

Def appreciate that. I believe the housing for the light snapped off the outter piece. When I close the trunk there's a loose lumber sound.

I went through cultrag. About 70$

And thanx to who posted the directions. The red part of the light had broken from the housing. Didn't have to bother with the screws on the rear. It literally just clips in. The seal is a foam 3m style tape to keep water out.

You'll spend the longest getting the old glue/residue off.
