Track day footage - Thunderbolt 6/14

My first track day in my '23 1LE. An absolute blast to drive and the braking was consistent even in 90 degree weather - completely stock with stock alignment (no track alignment). The occasional beeping under braking/turning is my dashcam auto saving footage thinking I've been in a high impact accident lol.

Need more seat time to get more confidence as there is so much still left in the car.

My cleanest/most consistent lap:

How'd you like Thunderbolt? I just did my first track day with my 23 1LE as well at Thunderbolt 2 weeks before. Hoping to try lightning out in the new car in September.

I loved it! I did Lightning back in 2018 with my '18 STI and while I enjoyed, Thunderbolt has much more grip (believe they repaved it earlier this year). I will sign up for Lightning in Sep of this year though.

Have done 3 track days and it's an amazing car, even better if you get a track alignment. Not really gonna notice it daily unless the roads have bad ruts then it wants to pull but you get used to it. Just keep getting better every track day.

Have you noticed a material increase in tire wear from the track alignment?

I aligned to 2.0 as stated in the manual and start sessions with 28lb and I see no excess wear. It really does make a difference on corner turn in.

You'll want to shift to 4th before hitting that last corner as you become faster. It also let's you just concentrate on hitting that apex and working on being flat out through the corner. The new repave feels like you're going to rip the tires off the rims
