Get GM marked glass. Don't settle for non-GM marked glass no matter how much they tell you it is the same.

Recommend this, GM, if you replace the glass. Have had issues of real wavy glass with non-GM. If replacement is your choice, you can talk to your dealer about a discount on the glass, 10-20% (since you bought the car there). Ask who they use for glass replacement for the install and strike your own deal. You will have to pay some over your insurance or 100% based on insurance.

Or you can fill that hit. If it does not bother you (ie..out of direct line of sight and you will notice it less once filled), you can then wait for the next hit that may be worse, to replace glass.

That sucks. It should be an easy fix though.
Happened to me after 2 weeks of ownership!
I just bought the fix kit and did it myself.

I see you are in Spring. I had a chip fixed yesterday by Ace Chip N Crack. Owners name is Scott 281-265-8020. He did an awesome job for $69 tax included

You shouldn't need to replace that. It looks repairable. I've had Safelite repair a chip like that on my windshield and it lasts. They do a great job.

They clear out all the loose glass then inject a clear resin that seals up to the point the chip ends inside the glass. Dries clear. Looks good.

One thing is for sure, That was a good spot to take a hit on the bottom. Seeing a small chip or line in drivers view would have sucked. Seems like a easy fill in repair.

Just have that filled and do it asap, don't wait. It should clear up to the point where it looks like a small dead bug. Doubt you will notice it most of the time unless looking for it. Also check with your insurance, some of them will cover this and actually send someone out to you.
