Any way to stop auto starting music?

MyLink seems to insist on always starting music every time I start my car.

If I pause it and turn the car off, its starts playing.
If I turn the radio off and turn off the car it restarts next time I start the car.
If I unplug my usb and phone, it detects my phones bluetooth and starts playing music from that on start up.

It's like no matter what, if there's a music source, its gonna start it.

Is there no way to have it just start up however it was left before you shut the car down?

+1

I can tell you what I do as a workaround. Switch source to radio and hit mute. It will stay muted then you can switch back to the other sources and unmute. Also super annoying mute doesn't pause an MP3 playing. My BMW would pause on iPod/USB with the mute button.

Every time this is happened to me it's because my phone was actually in play mode for music.

I've not had trouble with BT, course I never listen to music that way. But definitely does it for radio, usb and iPod.

I almost always listen to music so it's not ruining my experience by any means. Just seems odd that even if you power off the radio it still defaults to being on.

I'll try that workaround. Thanks super sound.

You could also switch your audio source to Aux (or whatever it is) and have nothing plugged in there. I think it remembers what source it was set to the last time it was running.

In most of the apps on the phone there is an option for auto start music when bluetooth connected.

I have a issue when my phone is using AA and I decide to listen to a fm channel even 10 minso it switches back to the usb. How do I stop this, is it the phone or AA? The phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Think you'll need a dealer visit. Others have reported myLink doing weird things like that.

Well if you cannot get the phone to stop auto-play you can set the max startup volume to zero. Under settings / radio
