Interesting.
I just switched insurance companies. I am saving $300 a year switching from State Farm to All State. I originally went to State Farm a few years ago because they were cheaper than All State. It pays to shop around every few years. The other interesting thing is my 1999 Buick Lesebra is $260 every six months and my 2016 Camaro is $245 every six months. Uninsured motorists is cheaper on the Camaro. That doesn't make sense to me...but oh well. Collision and Comprehensive are much higher on the Camaro...which makes perfect sense to me. I think it is the discounts that are making the Camaro cheaper. One of them being a new car discount which makes me wonder will the Camaro jump next year?
The whole insurance shopping thing is a pain in the butt. But now that I am retired I think I will shop around every other year. Or anytime my current insurance takes a jump.

I shop around every couple of years. I have a few vehicles, house, a few rentals and an umbrella.
geico is always way cheaper for the cars. 2017 Camaro is $180/6mo. allstate wanted 600/6mo for our chevy volt and geico was $200/6mo. something else interesting is our 14volt is more than our 17camaro ss. |

Switched from State Farm after so many wasted years of money. Went with Geico and honestly saving $700 a year on all 3 cars i have now. My Camaro SS in New York City is now down to about $120 month, So shop around is right 100%
