VIBRATION AT 75MPH AFTER SPACERS

So I recently acquired a set of 25mm Customadeonly spacers, they had really good reviews so I thought I would give them a shot. I put a thin layer of anti seize on the spacers and I torqued them to 140 foot pounds. I tried re. Mounting the tears and switching the sides but the vibration persists in the seat. I got new tires and the wheels road force balanced but it still persists. Any clue how I can fix this?? I really enjoy the look of the wheels being flush but the vibration at 75 mph is driving me crazy

Tightened in a criss cross fashion? Uneven torque like that can get you a vibe but assum you know that. Assume to that you pulled the spacers and what happened to the vibe...gone or not? Assume you tried that, too.

Can you post a pic of the spacers? Are they hub centric?

Do you get any vibration without the spacers? Have you removed the wheels to verify that your spacers are still mounted correctly. Some people have posted issues with 25mm spacers breaking the lug bolts off their hubs. You might not be able to see it without removing the wheels.

GooseSS hit the nail on the head, if they re not hub centric, the wheel rely's on the lug nuts to keep it centered. Circuit Performance makes all kinds of sizes in aluminum, worked for me.

I torqued and retorqued the spacers in a star pattern and they are hub-centric, I am going to take them off and inspect them further today

Make sure the wheel studs are tucked into the spacers, and not protruding at all.

Only spacers I've used on my trucks are Bora. Hub centric and some of the best out there. Made in USA and Lifetime warranty.

I had an issue with my old WRX where the openings on the back of my wheels were not large enough for the new nuts that secured the spacer to the hub. Check the back of your wheels for damage there, if there is any, you'll need to grind open larger opening on the back of the wheel or scrap the spacers.

May I ask why you're running such large spacers?

Just wanted to Let everyone know I figured out the problem, turns out that I actually need to trim the original suds a little bit because I noticed that they’re making marks on the back of the rim, and not letting the rims sit perfectly flat

I have tried spacers on 3 different cars over the years, always getting the most expensive hub-centric ones and EVERY SINGLE TIME I have had vibration issues. I have not had good luck with spacers at all.

This is one reason (cosmetically speaking) why I love the SS 1LE so much, it looks amazing and flush right from the factory, no need for spacers.

Well I want to fit spacers on my 2018 SS. I would like to go for 25mm spacers on all four. Can anyone suggest a set of reliable spacers? Also would I have to trim the original studs (I hope not...).

^^THIS.^^

They usually vibrate at a certain speed (+-1 mph), ex.. 83-85 mph. If someone has experience with a ZL1 with spacers that has no vibration anywhere up to 125 mph , I'd like to try what they tried.

Spacers on a car will put stress on bearings etc. I recommend removing them, especially in a car with the handling abilities of the C6.
