IS GM playing coy about the prototype?

In an article I stumbled upon about a week ago, there is an interview with AL.O. they ask questions about the ZL1 and performance goals of the lineup. "(ZL1 THE inside story)" he brings up the prototype car wreck at the ring. "Yes we did wreck a ZL1, but it's not what the Internet made it out to be". HE said ZL1 ...he didn't say prototype or even future product.AKA Z28. Does this mean the car is a ZL1 with optional areo ...say the 350R version of the ZL1? Or is it in fact a Z28? Thoughts.

The interview that I saw, he said they wrecked a Camaro, not a ZL1 or Z/28.

He didn't say anything about trim or model.

Bryce - your source may be a bit off, but i think the point is still valid - we could still be getting a ZL1-R while GM works on a new NA motor for a Z/28??? Yes, i think what we've been watching at the ring is an LT4 based car (yes, the new one with the canards and the huge wing) - whatever it is.

not likely IMO, but what the hell do I know?

Z28 on the way

I got this on my twitter feed from Chevrolet Canada, this in conjunction with the 50th anniversary locked reveal squares makes me think that the Z28 is going to be revealed for the 50th meaning the Z28 will be a 2017. I know that this video was used to excite us in the end for the ZL1 but there is no reason to be cryptic any more about the ZL1 so it must be the Z28

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it was about the ZL1. The vast majority of people probably have no idea that car is coming.
