Light behind trim

Is there supposed to be light emanating from behind the mylink trim?

well, there IS a light strip there that you can adjust to one of 24 different colors.

I said the same thing. I do not understand why light escapes from behind the bezel on each side. It should fit so tight against the dash that there should not be space for light to shine though. This has nothing to do with the LED around the top of the radio bezel.

At least I'm not the only one. Drives me crazy.
And no I am not talking about the LED strip.

There's a little white LED light tucked behind the passenger side of the MyLink. It's on purpose. Come to think of it, there's one on the driver's side, too.

It's a light, not a gap

If there was no space in between the radio and dash no light would show which means there is a gap. Intentional or not. I hate it

There isn't a gap. It's a led light. Don't know what the fuss is about it lol

Here is why we hate it, its a waste of light, what's it doing shining the dash. Why is the dash going to turn into a monster if it has no light on it.

I assume the idea behind it is to make the screen looks like it's floating. It can be controlled with the dimmer switch.

Same idea as the ambient lighting behind a flat screen TV.
