I was driving home from work last night and saw what seemed have been a 1LE. I understand it was possible that it was just a modded Gen6 and not a 1LE so I thought I'd ask if GM test cars are known to be out and about. I live on the North Carolina coast.

I noticed a White gen 6 facing me, just pulling from a light as I was heading the opposite direction. What really caught my attention was that it had a satin black hood, which I've not noticed on any gen 6 before on the road or on any dealer lots I've been through. It was the complete hood.

Since it was moving, I didn't get a good look at the wheels, but they were dark and it had the same spoiler as the upcoming 1LE has in pictures. Traffic was too heavy for me to pull a u-turn and follow it. Traffic also obscured my view of the rear license.

I'm a newbie here, planning on ordering a 1LE in the spring so it could a normal variant of an existing car, but I thought I'd ask.

I guess its possible, but also just as (if not more-so) possible that someone just made their car look like a 1LE. There are 1LE replica wheels in development, but not yet available to my knowledge.

Probably a wrapped hood, aftermarket spoiler, and since it was moving you cannot be certain it was 1LE wheels. I vote NO

It's 50/50 I see test cars in Las Vegas all the time, kind of interesting.
But, wraps aren't horribly priced..
