ARH Long tubes w/ Cats (long sys) - Borla S-Types
Here are a few videos of my 1LE with Borla S-Types, ARH 1 7/8th long tubes with HF cats (long system).
Mods: ARH LTH w/ Cats Borla S-Type NPP Axle Back EFI-Tuning IM/TB EFI-Tuning Flex Fuel Kit Rotofab CAI Wet Filter with Sound tube delete MSD Super Conducter wires Tuned by Tim @ EFI- Tuning Power: IDK, dyno in the next few weeks. Both videos were takin in sport mode. The tone is the same in tour and stealth, just not as much volume. No drone at any RPM. Also, for some of you that have not heard it from the outside, you can here the no lift shift really well here. Personally I think it sounds like crap, but damn it works well! Does anyone else notice how suprisingly well these cars hook up from a dig? My S197 would be wreck waiting to happen through 3rd gear in this same scenario. http://vid1224.photobucket.com/album...ps0o43mqu3.mp4 http://vid1224.photobucket.com/album...psagfpwpvl.mp4 |

If I had to do it again, I would have just bough the LTH w/ cats, and the Borla S types, and had a exhaust shop make the entire mid section of the system. |

Sounds great, much louder than stock. On no lift shift, do u have to be in a certain mode? I tired to do it a few weeks ago and I was bouncing off the rev limiter...didn't seem like it was working. It surely didn't sound like yours

Very helpful vid as I have ARH's full system and considering to replace its axle back to Borla S. It's so sad since you said it is kinda hard to connect them directly together..

You would have to chop the factory exhaust either way with any axle back. Although since the ARH is 3 inch that is probably what makes it more difficult. I have the borla catback so it would probably be pretty easy in my case to mate up a set of headers. |

Someone could probably chime in here if it's a spark or fuel cut, my guess is fuel cut because it doesn't back fire or pop like a normal WOT box would and they cut spark |

Why would you want to do that? I've got the full system as well with just one set of high flow cats and my NPP and it sounds fantastic. You're not going to gain any power doing that either.

Im sure he knows that. I did it to get rid of the suit case and the Borla sound at idle is much better than the stock system was. It helped that I got my Borla system for sub 1k so there is that. (Amazon Reward points FTW)

According to the C7 forums (that have had no lift shift longer than us) it is spark cut and the injectors do not stop. A few have said they data logged it. I also don't think a non spark cut would hold rpm like that? Did you have active rev match on or off? Over on the C7 forums they seem to think it could possibly act different depending on if this is on or off. But it doesn't need to be on. Mine definitely doesn't seem to make as much of that "farty" noise as yours, but that could be due to your more open exhaust or maybe the fact I've never heard my car from the outside like that. Plus, I haven't really used no lift shift all that much yet. As we have spoken about before, mine seems to make more of a single crack/gunshot like sound when doing it. Others have said the same. I had thought you mentioned yours did that too? Last edited by SS 1LE; 02-16-2017 at 02:52 PM. |
