Passenger side rear side marker out
Hey guys so since the first day I bought my Camaro about a month ago I noticed that the passenger side rear side market was out, the one behind the rear wheel. I been to multiple dealers and they all tell me the same, that it's on back order and that they can't get ahold of it, which sucks! I thought it was just a light bulb but apparently it's the whole assembly that need to be replaced, can anyone confirm this before I go in there and try to remove it myself, thanks!

There are some screws to remove on the felt, then you can get to the bulbs, and remove them from the back, the side markers come out from the front.

What I have seen is that GM likes to change the part numbers based on the vehicle, It may actually be the same damn bulb that is in a 2010 equinox tag lamp... but because it has a different part number that is on backorder they are restricted.. Warranty won't pay if the part numbers don't match.

+1.
Should be able to get that bulb almost anywhere. We have a cabinet of drawers filled with various bulbs, these are by far the most common side marker bulbs. Anytime we do a job, before we toss the broken headlights, marker lights, etc., we strip them of their bulbs, test(I made a test panel with the most common bulb sockets), working bulbs get put in their appropriate drawer. |
