Looking to get a square setup soon. What offset should I be looking for?

I'm wanting to get some 19x10 or 10.5 all around and was wondering what offset I should be looking for to run 285's or 295's?

If you do a 19x10 for sure do a 25et this gives enough inner clearance and keeps the outer wheel position straight down the fender line looking flush.

Thanks for the info! I will start my wheel search now! And I was thinking 285 would be the perfect setup. What about a 10.5 inch wide wheel, what offset would you suggest?

Curious to see why you want 19" wheels. Tires are harder to find and usually more expensive.

Track/auto-x. Good options from what I've seen. RE-71's and Hoosier A6's are available.

Yes the majority of forum members are very in tuned with the performance value of the vehicle and at times money spent on tires is not a concern as you want the best for performance, 19" if made properly for the vehicle like our FS01 will decrease weight and allow for a proper performance tire option that may not be available in a 20" set up/

Actually there are lots of tire choices in 285/35R19... and cheaper than similar options for 20" wheels. Those tires will be almost exactly the overall height of the new 1LE setup, but with a bit more sidewall. I would also think a 19" setup will be lighter as well. Cheaper tires and wheels with an overall weight reduction - the question should be why not?

285/35 or 285/40? Didn't you guys test fit a 10 inch wide wheel that was 25et? So early in the development of these things, hard to find info.

They are making more 19's for sure. But in our business they usually are more then 20's and not as many 19" wheels as 20's. Yes they would be lighter weight. My customers are usually more pissed at the manufacturer for putting 19's on there new cars or suv's and I rarely get any requests for 19's. If its a case of lighter then go back to 18's or have a set made and then you can really lighten the rotating mass. I've usually had two sets of wheels/tires for all my rides as I will for my 16ss. I'll have a set for the strip and street. Lots of options to choose from, just depends on how much you want to spend, its all out there. I'm probably gonna run an 18" for my drag radials, just I like I did on my supercharged g8gt and my 99 vet I drag raced a few years back. On my g8gt I had three sets of wheels/tires, 20's for street and a different set of 20's for autocross and 18's for the strip.. They all had there purpose, doubt I'll autocross the 1ss, probably just drag racing starting next month for test and tune with stock tires, then drag radials at the next event. We all have our preferences and its all good not matter what you choose. Good luck and you'll find what you want eventually.

What he said...the smaller the better. You never see competitive vehicles running 20's. Smaller is also better for DD. The only real benefit to 20's is looks.

Going wider puts you in a modified class in Autocross. A square setup has yet to be proved as a plus on a 2016 SS! Worked on a Gen5 as they were
prone to excessive understeer. Might cause excessive oversteer on a 2016!

Pretty sure my cam, headers, exhaust put me in a different class other than FS though lol.

More reason to avoid a square setup! Let someone else go first!
