Sound Tube Info??
So what is the real Purpose of the Sound tube???
Is it to just bring the sounds of the motor into the cockpit or bring in air also? If this can be deleted without issues, that tube and hose is going to be gone when my intake arrives! Any other thoughts, ideas, input??? |

The sound enhancing tube, from what I know, is strictly for sound purpose. It makes the "woosh" of the air intake system more pronounced. I, however, find this to be less than authentic. I like the clean look and authentic sound of our sound enhancer delete kit, pictured below! I hope this was helpful!

Some cars do use sound tube as input to the speakers but not the Camaro 2SS. The Camaro 2SS only deposits the input noise dumped into the cabin behind the dash. It uses a diafram so that no air is passed between the intake and the cabin
