OnStar Order Tracking
Hi guys, does anyone know where the dealer gets the OnStar account number from before the car arrives? I know some people have been tracking their orders by activating the OnStar account, however my dealer isn't sure where to get the order number from before the car arrives. Is there some standard place he can check such as the build sheet or something?

They usually enter in the VIN of the car, it can be done online like my dealer did before my car arrived.

Hmm, I doubt they'd understand if I just asked them to "go online and register the VIN", perhaps Becky or someone else more familiar with the exact process can chime in with a little more detail... hopefully.

On Star Keeps telling me It can only be turned on from inside the car. Even thought my dealer preregistered online. They are afraid to mess up the account. Just wait for it. It will come in. I've been waiting since Dec 18. My car should be ready by Monday.
