LS Questions
1. Is the LS speed limited lower than the lt?
2. Is it worth it to mod an LS, maybe spend about 7 thousand? 3. How much does a leather conversion cost? Please don't tell me to get an SS with the 7k im only 16, insurance will be sky high. |

Why wouldn't you just get an rs?

2. I think it is. I personally have one and love starting with a "clean slate" so to speak. But it also depends on what you're going to do with the 7 thousand. 3. You can buy a set of takeoffs from another car for about 1000 and if you install it yourself that's all you'll have to spend. FYI, the new LS's will be slower than the LT and up models. It'll also be slower than the LS's of previous years. |

Because the RS would be close to another 3000 dollars over the LS. You'd have to move up to the LT trim level and then tack on the RS package as well.

Because I'm going to change the rims, add a spoiler, and I can retrofit halos. So basically it is smarter to get the LS, of course if it turns out less. With an LT/RS, I have to spend extra on aftermarket rims, I don't really like the little tiny spoiler so that goes too, and here I am left with only halos and an extra 4k spent.

I think all the models come with a spoiler now, don't they?

You can't take it off without a tune. And if you tune you lose your powertrain warranty.

Im 17 with an SS and the insurance actually isnt too bad if you put it under your parents policy and list yourself as a driver.

My insurance company put my dad as the primary on my SS and me as the primary on his Blazer...but I am still insured on both vehicles. Try that route and see what an SS would cost.

GM can be so weird sometimes...I honestly think in 2014 they should improve the LS wheels somehow to go past 118 MPH. I personally witnessed my sister's prius going 112 MPH...

This is what my dad did too with his spare BMW. Lets me drive both and pay less then what it would If I were the primary.

Yea, I've personally witnessed a few cars do more than 120 but I don't see why you would need to. I mean I open it up from time to time but other than that, I don't know why
