Hi all,

If only the next two to three months could go a LOT faster...

Just placed an order for an Inferno Orange ZL1 (QQPFV2) a week ago (manual, sunroof, interior lighting, bright rims, exposed carbon fiber)...this has been my dream car since the ZL1s were announced (would've been a 2SS otherwise)...I never thought it could actually become a reality, but years of hard work have finally paid off...my wife's old '07 Ford Escape becomes the daily driver/beater...the idea is to keep the ZL1 away from snow, rain, and anything in between...I'm planning on keeping this forever and ever!

It does mean saying goodbye to my HHR SS, a car I dearly love...I put a lot of heart and soul in this one, but it simply isn't practical to have four cars...I will miss it:

But looking forward to coming on here, seeing different Camaros of all trim levels, and being part of the Camaro community. Good times lay ahead...

Agree, it just sang to me. I found a ZL1 in Michigan that had everything I wanted, but was Victory Red...as much as I like VR on my HHR, I just love the way Inferno Orange looks on a ZL1...especially close up. So I decided that if I'm going to spend this kind of coin (and I've never come anywhere near spending this much on an automobile...the most I ever spent was about $28k on the Escape), I shouldn't compromise on anything...and waiting isn't the worst thing in the world. I love driving my HHR (290 HP with the GM Turbo Upgrade...it has some cojones for a front-wheel drive, four cylinder engine...hits 0-60 in about 5.8 secs or so), so it's not like I'm driving a POS in the meantime.

Thanks man...the ironic thing is I didn't do too much with the HHR...the SS is a different beast, so it already looks like it has a body kit on it, compared to an LS or LT HHR. All I really did was paint certain parts of the car black (the roof and rear valence), swapped out the taillights and headlights for darker ones, paint the center caps on the rims, and paint the interior waterfall red and silver. I also added the '55 Chevy Script over the glove box, blacked out the SS emblems, and painted the bowties a metallic silver.

I will definitely do something with the bowties on the ZL1...not sure whether or not to go with IOM or silver on them. I am also considering blacking out the roof on the ZL1...I just love that look.

There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.



oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
