28.8 MPG

Drove the SS back to Ks to say farewell to my grandfather and my baby got 28 mpg. I'am amazed and very happy with that. We just went out and rented a chevy cruze, pretty good mileage, uncomfortable ride. A little over 5000 miles in less than 2 weeks. Anyway just braggin on the 28! And oh ya, got the windows tinted also with some 20%, looks badass.

Did you calculate the mileage after filling up with gas or are you just referring to the display on the dash? My display has shown 27.X MPG before but when I actually calculated it, the MPG was lower.

The display is average miles per gallon. Even if it were perfectly accurate it couldn't be "current" MPG, as it's an average. It's average current MPG, not MPG

I wish there was a 'current' MPG meter

Good way to get your mileage is to go to a weigh station, weigh the car, set your trip odometer, take a trip, re-weight the car. The differene is fuel weight. IF you know the weight of your fuel (premium is ~ 6.35 pounds per gallon according to most sources), comparing the number of gallons used to the length of the trip is easy

Make sure you weigh it before you take that cup of coffe or suitcase out, ot it will distort the results.
