Ordering a 1LE - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just went with my best friend to the dealership to order his 1LE. He ordered one identical to mine. I dont mind, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It's going to be awesome driving around with two identical cars. The only thing was the dealer said there is a constraint on the 1LEs right now, and his will be ordered as soon as possible. What's the constraint on?

I know they stop production on the 1LE and ZL1 in the winter months due to the Goodyear f1 tires and chance of cracking. But I didnt think that started until around mid November.

Check with Chevrolet order tracking and do the live chat and ask if they are on constraint . I think your salesman should know ,but it can't hurt to check . If in fact they are not on constraint ,then I would find another dealer ,because they don't deserve the order . If you have a Auto Nation Chevrolet near you ,they have the best price and know what they are doing .

1LE is on constraint and has been for a few weeks. Camaros are eligible for unallocated sold order processing so the dealer shouldn't have any issue getting the order picked up and built. I've been able to order 12 1LEs even though they are on constraint.

I don't think they're on constraint yet. My dealership got three in and I hope to be picking one up!

They are and have been for while now. Constraint doesn't mean they're not building any. It just means that it's limited or not available.

No. That's just the allocation for the current week of ordering. There are a lot more than 19 across the whole country on dealer lots right now.

So how does the "constraint" reflect on the orders? Does it take longer to build the car? Does Chevrolet accept a limited number of orders per week/per month? I just made up my mind on what car to get, so hearing about the constraint is a little disconcerting. Thanks in advance!
