MRT 2.0 or SLP Powerflo??

I've been interested in the MRT for ahwile now, but I've heard that the SLP Powerflo is a good system too. Has anybody heard the SLP in person??

Check out the Flowmaster American Thunder. IMO sounds alot like the MRT2 and is around a $100 cheaper. I love the sound and they sure clean up the rear end of those ugly resinators.

well... $100 cheaper but you need to looks at the specs... the Flowmaster system is 409 stainless steel, which will develop surface rust, probably why they paint their system black, while the MRT system is completely 304 stainless steel, including the hangers, which will not rust...

If you are considering looks... well...

Ok... since the OP asked about the SLP:

wow... that's a lot of clamps! Looks like the SLP cost about $130 more than the MRT ver 2.0... SLP just says stainless steel, doesn't list the grade...

Are there any performance gains to be had in one system vs. another? Or is it just for the sound? I've been leaning towards the v2.0, but would consider another system if the performance justified it.

There are some gains in all the systems... but hard to get a real comparison of just how much... lots of vendors claims but virtually no independent testing to confirm those claims.. and considering the variation in dyno numbers even during a single session, well makes measuring things basically impossible..

for me the exhaust upgrade is about:

1) Improved sound
2) Improved looks
3) Reduced weight
4) Improved performance

My confidence was so high for these MRT 2.0's I had them sitting in my garage 3 weeks before I took delivery of my Camaro. 750 miles after delivery I did the install. Have LOVED them since. I did this based on all the threads, posts and inputs from the people on this forum ..........I trusted them with my life, (well at least my ears).

True Scrming, but with a 10 year warrenty ftom Flowmaster on these bad boys its kind of hard to talk bad about. Does MRT offer a 10 year warrenty on theres? Didn't think so......
