Camaro SS - 2023 vs 2024 Wheel Fitment Question

I'll be taking delivery of a 2024 2SS pretty soon and I'm looking at picking up a set of 1LE wheels for it.

GM's parts system is saying that neither part #23355802 or #23355791 (the OEM 1LE factory wheels) are compatible with a 2024 SS.

Any chance someone has already taken delivery of a 24 SS 1LE and can confirm fitment of those part numbers? I believe the option code for the wheels is RSK.

I'm thinking their system is out of date but wanted to ask the group before getting them, just in case.

Might want to sit tight for a member who is selling their stock SS 1LE wheels. Should save you a decent amount of coin vs. buying new.

I'm sure a set will pop up if there aren't already any listings in the classifieds. It's relatively common for folks that get aftermarket wheels to put the stockers up for sale.

Thanks I will definitely keep that in mind. Any reason to think they won't fit on a 24?

Just their system not updating, happened every new model year. Every single tire/wheel combo will fill that’s already fit in the past from 2016

This advice is solid gold, that's exactly what I did also, got a smoking deal (including fantastic Michelin Pilot Sport 4S non-runflat tires) from a fellow member. Just be patient, deals will show up, buying these wheels new is hideously expensive, if they're even available, which is nontrivial these days.

Yep, RSK is the correct RPO. Compatibility is not an issue, these wheels have been the same since 2017 and will fit just fine, but note that making this change pushes you into a gray area in terms of warranty, because you are replacing the wheels/tires with a different spec that the car should specifically be programmed for---the 1LE has a different suspension, slightly different programming for the magnetic shocks, different tune that accommodates the tire size delta for ABS and Stabilitrak, also correcting the speedo... so a scrupulous dealer could technically make your life more difficult if, say, you later encounter any MRC or ABS issue.

(BTW I'm just giving you information, not trying to tell you what to do of course, especially since I did the same swap, which tangibly improved the car's performance, but IMO it's always better to know the facts and try to eliminate bad surprises before making a big call like this on a brand new car.)

And I appreciate this info greatly, thank you. You bring up a great point ... I actually ordered the 1LE suspension with magnetic ride for the car, but it's being delivered with the 245/275 staggered wheel setup. Due to their ordering package restraints it was impossible to order the 285/305 1LE wheel setup. I never thought about possible warranty issues that could arise, you're the first person I've seen mention it.

Ah, that was a brilliant move, this means that at least your MRC programming and suspension parts will be 100% identical to the 1LE whose wheel/tire setup you are switching to.

Another thing I did was to build a relationship with a reliable, honest service department at a dealership, and never had any issues. The chances of you having problems are very small, and I along with many others can definitely stand by the difference the 1LE wheel/tire setup makes in terms of performance.

Just make sure you get tires that correspond toö your goals with the car, the stock 1LE Goodyears aren't exactly the best for daily driving under different weather conditions, for example.
