TPM reading off?

Two of my tires show 30 psi but when I tryna pump some air in, it shows 35 on the pump and tried with pressure gauge agin and still shows 35 as well. Pretty weird

Has this happened to anybody before?

Just a thought, did you check all 4 tires? Perhaps the sensor is on a different wheel than you think it is? So the 30 pound tire is a different one?

They usually just fail, never seen one provide a false reading. Not saying it can't, just unusual.

My TPMS on my 21 ZL1 and 19 Blazer all show 2 psi low. I have used multiple gauges and all read 2 psi higher than the TPMS. Maybe it has something to do with living at nearly 5000 ft elevation?

Wait a min…I just checked again, it seems the opposite side of the tires are 30 psi. I did tire rotation the other day to swap left and right… is that why the reading are mirrored?

This happened with mine on the last tire change. My rear sensors are switched.

You might need this relearn tool. The folks who swapped my tires used theirs to reset the TPMS correctly.

The Chinese have rebranded this tool at least 10 ways. Buy the cheapest. Here orange is $7.50, or impress your neighbors with the upscale red one for $9.50!

My TP monitors always read within 0.5 psi compared to my digital gauge.

All the pumps and gauges u used shows 35 but car info screen shows 30. It’s really strange

I think they swapped the rims when they changed my tires the last time. I just know that the DIC reads the left tires pressure for the right tire and vice versa.

I have the tool at home that when the tires are rotated you use to relearn the position of each wheel. Needs to be done after each tire rotate, so yes that is why they are mirrored.

Just get yourself a tool like this for your car. Pretty cheap... Then just follow the relearn process in your manual.
