Shaking when braking above 60mph

Sorry guys, for some reason the search option isnt working for me...

I am noticing shaking when braking above 60mph like my rotors are warped. 16 2ss 9k miles. Are there any service bulletins on this? My brother's 2ss is doing the same thing.

Sounds like either pad deposit build up on the rotor, or you got them real hot & warped them at some point.

Most likely pad deposits on the rotors.

The "Warped" Brake Disc and Other Myths of the Braking System

Iron brake rotors can get to the point of 1000-1200 degrees... usually when they start glowing. Cracks can occur, but "warped" is just pad material deposited on them unevenly at a stop after they have been overheated.

It's under warranty, (if under 12mos/12k) they should replace them. I've been in the business 20 years, I don't really believe in resurfacing rotors. They typically warp again even easier after that.
