Shaking when braking above 60mph
Sorry guys, for some reason the search option isnt working for me...
I am noticing shaking when braking above 60mph like my rotors are warped. 16 2ss 9k miles. Are there any service bulletins on this? My brother's 2ss is doing the same thing. |

Sounds like either pad deposit build up on the rotor, or you got them real hot & warped them at some point.

Most likely pad deposits on the rotors.
The "Warped" Brake Disc and Other Myths of the Braking System http://www.stoptech.com/technical-su...nd-other-myths Iron brake rotors can get to the point of 1000-1200 degrees... usually when they start glowing. Cracks can occur, but "warped" is just pad material deposited on them unevenly at a stop after they have been overheated.

It's under warranty, (if under 12mos/12k) they should replace them. I've been in the business 20 years, I don't really believe in resurfacing rotors. They typically warp again even easier after that.
