NPP retrofit
Hi all just got myself a 2021 LT1 and the only option I wanted (npp) was not available unfortunately. Is there a way to retrofit it? Love the sound. I don’t necessarily need the ability to control the sound. Please advise.

Nope!
You can install cut outs. That's about it....

You can bolt the NPP exhaust to your car. You might be able to find someone selling a used one for a decent price. You wouldn’t be able to control the valves and you would have to replace the rear diffuser to support the quad exhaust tips. You might be just as happy with a Borla S-type axle-back or similar aftermarket exhaust.

My 2018 1SS didn't have NPP either - I lucked out and got the OEM NPP muffler and found a dual tip rear diffuser - all in it was less than $200
It's always in bypass (fused pull) mode since I can't control the NPP but I can't imagine ever wanting to closing the valves! Of course my fiance has a different opinion of it LOL Oddly, I had started the car when there was no muffler on it out of curiousity - it sounded terrible compared to the by-pass NPP muffler sound Either way - I have no regrets going this route and would definitely recommend it |

Thanks for all the replies fellas. One member selling a NPP for $200, plus shipping and diffuser it’ll probably make more sense to get an aftermarket axle back. Anyone has experience with the Legato exhaust?

Don't pay anywhere over $100 for those things. I bought Zl1 oem NPP for $50 and cut my diffuser with electric saw to make space for the tips. I eventually bought a quad tip diffuser from American muscle. Don't worry about being able to control it, I have headers and npp stays open and it's not crazy loud.

There's a few brands out there that work with remotes. I know Xforce has a system for the camaro. I have one on a wrx and it's very noticable when it's open and closed. Just some food for thought.
