Maggy 2650 and Speed Engineering valve covers
Anyone run this setup with a mighty mouse catch can? I am running into a problem with the drivers side coil harness, theres not enough room to install the an fitting for the catch can as the harness runs right next to it. There is no room to move the harness. I am thinking extending the harness is my only solution, anyone run into this issue?

Check out Complete Street Performance's videos. They've run those VCs and 2650 many times.

Yeah, I had to move the harness zip ties to give more room to the driver side. Also, opened the harness un about 1" at the fork that goes to the coils and the other sensors on the front right side of the blower

I ran them on my 16 SS when I went to the 2650 back in 2019. Good looking and fit very well, did have to buy some AN fitting to route my hoses.

Fitment wasn't a problem for me, on either the shock tower or the fan shroud. However, with the 10an WILD can connected directly to the 3/8 vacuum line on the throttle body it was sucking in pure oil straight through those speed engineering valve covers and filling the can fast. What fixed is was a vacuum reducer, I believe there is a 5/32 reducer in there now which still lets the crankcase scavange without sucking in pure oil. The baffling on those covers are pretty horrible. Other then that, looks great and no fitment issues.

Thanks for the replys. I figured it out, I moved my flex fuel harness to the #7 coil pack and that gave me the extra length.

I am in the process of finishing up my Magnuson 2650 and Speed engineering valve covers. Hoping you guys can provide some insight. I have the mighty mouse wild catch can. They provided a oil fill cap that will not work with the speed engineering valve covers. I am not sure how all these work so let me know if any of these option I proposed work.
1. Instead of using the oil fill cap provided from mighty mouse, I run the hose from the driver side -10AN straight to the catch can. Then I run the -10AN from the passenger to the stock oil separator that is located in front of the engine on passenger side. With both of those going to different location, would it cause any problem? I would plug up the nipple on the oil separator that is for the driver side -10AN, since that is now routed straight to catch can. The nipple going to the passenger side breather line and the nipple going to the intake would still be use. 2. My last resort is to drill the speed engineering oil fill cap and weld a bung there to route the hose to the catch as suggested by Mighty mouse. I would then also route the -10AN from the driver side and passenger side back to their original oil separator. I know there was an mighty mouse XL catch can that would probably had made this easier, but I did not realize the issue until the install, and I have a tune schedule in the next few days lol... What do you guys recommend? |

Just watch the oil fill on the can, the covers have very shitty baffling and I had tons of fresh oil entering the can. I put a 5/16 reducer inline as you don’t need a 3/8 vacuum line going into The can , it’s way too much.

Passenger side stays in the stock box.

Thank you! Passenger side is what I was concerned about. I didn't know if each of them going to separate locations was going to hurt the car.

Nope, it will act as the clean air inlet into crankcase. The middle tube connects to the intake, draws in metered air and enters the passenger cover into the crankcase. Drivers side is the vent into the can. Right side on the box gets plugged. Hope that helps.
