DEAD BATTER/KEY FOBS??

went outside to open car last night both fobs didnt work...tried app didnt work either so it appears my battery is dead

i have a 16 ss with 25k miles anybody else have a dead battery this soon?

called dealer this morning and its covered by warranty but need the whole car over there so guess i gotta call aaa to get it open and jumpstarted or towed lol fun stuff

If the repair is covered by warranty then Chevy should cover the tow service to the nearest dealer at no cost. I would contact Chevy road-side service number in your owner's manual.

Yes, I know one or two people that had the battery die early on their new Camaro. It happens.

yea i have onstar and aaa but was gonna see if they could come out tonight and check it out thing that sucks is i was going to the local auto x course tomorrow at 11am and i know dealer wont get it fixed by then

Yea - Last night I stopped off at the car wash and after I finished I got Back into the car, turned over once and then it was dead!!! I had to walk about 2 1/2 miles and get my son to drive me back to the car wash and he jumped me off, but I'm like you 2016 Camaro SS 37XXX miles and I have to replace my battery!!! At first I thought it was my starter getting heat soaked, but it turned out to be the battery.

well dealer said its covered under warranty so probably have them come over and tow it over there tonight so i can get it replaced tomorrow for free rather than calling aaa and paying $200

I just got a new battery 2 weeks ago at 12,800 miles.

Something seems off with the smart charging system. If I keep my voltmeter displayed on the dash, sometimes I can drive long distances (one day, over 3 hours) and the voltage never went above 12.2 V and stayed at 12.1 most of the ride. The next day I checked the rested battery and it was 11.9 volts and the next mornining it was dead below 6V. Charged it up and it's OK but still seems glitchy. Recently, half hour trips to work and back show 13.1 to 14.5 volts most of the time occasionally reading low 12s. This seems more normal so why isn't it like this all the time?

You know you can unlock it with the key. pop the cover off the handle.

Isn't a simple jump start worth a try before towing the car back to the dealer? The battery may not even need replacing.

Like said above, use the key to open the door, jump start it and drive it to the dealer.

you have a key inside the fob, pop the cover off the lock and use the key to open the door.
