I began to grow tired of various sourcing and assembly issues with the pre filter I was using for my aux pump kits, so I decided it was time to just make my own.

I got with Swift who makes the filter elements for pretty much everyone and designed my housing based off of one of their 74 micron filter elements. The idea was to make something that would fit the same clearance envelope as before, but I wanted it to screw directly into the pump to eliminate a potential leak point and to be modular for an upcoming change I'll make to my pump systems.

I am super happy with the final product. I used fluorosilicone o-rings for both the filter element itself and the end cap to ensure 100% compatibility with whatever fuel somebody may run through. These are now standard in all of my aux pump kits.
