Best Way To Add 100 RWHP
What is the best way to add about 100 rwhp to the ZL1/LT4? I know on the Hellcats, you can get nearly 100 rwhp from a 2.85 upper pulley and 93 octane tune. What is needed on the ZL1's to match those gains? Saw a ZL1 last night at a dealership and it was absolutely gorgeous.

What makes you think headers are not worth it on the SS? They gain 25whp...add full exhaust and your upwards 30-35whp. Not exactly a bang for the buck mod, but they do gain.
To answer the OP question....headers, pulley, e85, tune.

I could of sworn I read that they don't gain much since the factory manifolds are much more efficient than they used to be, using a Tri-y design etc.

The tri-Y manifolds look like they should flow really well. I'm like you, seems like I remember reading in a thread on here that someone only gained around 15 hp on a full exhaust. Maybe it was youtube and maybe it was headers only. I can't remember.

Seems like intake, 15% lower pulley, headers, and 93 tune give 75-100 easily. This is what I'm doing. But doing the entire exhaust.

Any change of an aftermarket company coming out with a direct swap blower that fits under the factory hood? I'm talking a simple swap that still utilizes the factory heat exchangers etc? Or is that a stupid idea lol? That's actually not a bad idea, this engine would probably love no2 Last edited by Blackdevil77; 10-22-2017 at 09:15 PM. |

On a SS, 1 7/8 arh headers with cats to stock NPP, MSD intake, roto fab gained +46whp. Gains would be even more with a boosted LT4 minus the MSD of course.

Whipple! I'm not sure how much plug and play it is. But that seems to be the best way to go for an aftermarket blower on this car.
