Question for my techie mech friends

Really, will any mod that doesn’t require a tune make hardly any difference?

Mamo throttle body. It makes the throttle response more crisp and wide open throttleflow volume is better.
Better tires make a big difference. Cant go fast if your spinning all the time.

Cold air intake isn't enough gain to justify the price.
Headers are more of a headache because the codes that need to be delt with and again the price per gain doesn't justify it since the stock headers are a really good design already.
Catback or axle back is justified if you understand it's not a performance gain but more of a personal enjoyment gain.
The most cost effective gain that requires a tune would be e85.

Basically what Bishop said… the Mamo v3 TB is definitely worth it but otherwise tires and maybe also BMR cradle bushings too since they clean up a lot slop from wheel hop

I agree... I went from 275's out back to 305's and ditched the runflats, made a world of difference! From spinning all the time to finally being able to hook...

I have the Mamo V3 TB, I agree as well, improved throttle reasons and crispness and allows more airflow at full throttle...

2 Stupid(I suppose) follow up questions.
For my 2023 ZL1:
1) Does the Mamo V3 Throttle Body require/NEED a tune?
2) Is it easy to install?(I need Kindergarten level of install difficulty or I won't change anything out)

Thanks!

No tune required, it is literally 4 bolts, stupid easy to install... Pre-school level... Just don't get stupid and over-tighten the bolts...

It is really a complete "No-Brainer" of an add on... Use a 1/4" drive rachet and make them good and snug, you won't over-torque them with a little 1/4" drive rachet...

I did a step by step for the SS. It should be pretty much the same thing.

Depends on how you interpret this, what you're trying to do and if it's worth it to you.
A lighter wheel+tire setup. I knocked off an honest 30lbs of rotational mass + drag radials for traction, no tune.
A light weight battery. I knocked off 30lbs, no tune.
Rear seat delete. Knocked off another 30lbs, no tune.
I don't have personal info about it but like others said the Mamo TB, no tune.
Other more sound oriented stuff like axlebacks+X pipes that delete the secondaries, no tune.
Can we count the range device? V8 all the time, no tune.
I'm a fan of the stock airbox unless you like driving with your hood open, opps who said that
Lethal did a dyno test with a K@N filter and gained 4-5hp, no tune.
As far as making tons of power without a tune? Hell no. Even if you start making enough power on the stock tune the throttle blade will damper it down if I understand it correctly.

Capt is referring to me. Torque for those 4 bolts is 88 IN-lbs (which is approx 9 ft-lbs), not 88 FT-lbs. I didn't even make it to 88 before something snapped. Incredibly lucky for me, it was the bolt and not the mount.
