Has anybody tried this housing?

For years now I have looked for a true LT4 Billet housing that uses the real LT4 Thermostat. While browsing, I actually found one. Does anybody know of this company of tried this housing themselves.

Interesting housing! A very good solution for those looking to retain LT style stats.

That being said, I've had excellent performance from my DMS OEM LS3 186* thermostat. Mileage may vary for others but for me, it works beautifully.

The reason I want to use a LT4 thermostat is because Ted Jannetty did some testing (with an LS style thermo) and he talked about negatively about it. And I'm following Ted. I have his kit. He's the one that told me to get the FLHs from Australia because my car is RHD. He could have easily sold me the headers and had me deal with any complications. Instead, he passed up taking my cash in the best interest of me. Anytime a company passes up money to ensure I get the best result FOR ME, I'm with him for life, Semper Fi....

I have the Michigan Motorsports housing which uses the LS3 thermostat. I've been running it for several months with no issues.
I also have the utmost respect for Ted, and have also heard thru the grapevine that he did not like the housings that use the LS stat ( I didn't know this when I purchased mine).
I haven't spoken to Ted directly about this issue. Maybe he will chime in to give us a little more detail. I haven't tracked my car since installing this part, but on the street, the car runs cool as a cucumber, even in stop and go traffic with the the ac cranked on a 95 degree day.

Interesting thread and I will agree with Gabe except for his poor choice of Billet Thermostat Housing color not matching everything else he has powdercoated in Black when DMS sells the kit with one in a beautiful black too!

I install the DMS kit on every car I build. Even General Motors stopped using the plastic housing LT thermostats on their trucks due to failures while towing and seeing coolant spikes at sustained higher RPM while towing was the main reason.

Earlier this year, my 2020 ZLE OEM thermostat failed and guess what... like the one I sourced for my transmission from a reputable supplier for a 140º A10 transmission oil cooler adapter... when the t-stat fails, it does so to the CLOSED POSITION causing overheating!! At least with the LS3 thermostat, there is a bypass & bleed hole to allow enough coolant flow at low RPMs, you can get home!!

When Scoggin-Dickey makes a video and with such a massive collective of information, telling you why GM went back to the LS3 design... its really a no-brainer.

I also agree the DMS unit has the vent tube moved to the proper location.

LS based designs were the last frontier to properly made parts. Thermostats, seals, lifters, you name it. Lucky for us all of these items are readily available and easily retrofittable into our next gen LT engine blocks, which I think is absolutely stellar.

Loose the serpentine belt and a stock plastic t-stat housing will get taken out with it. Now the housing at $180 to $230 plus belt plus coolant must all be replaced. This doesn't happen with the DMS housing. Keep the right length of a the serpentine on hand as a spare. If it breaks you can replace it in 15 minutes and be on your way.
