Another Torque Converter Thread (Sorry)

I have a 2016 Camaro that I am having issues with and they said it was the torque converter. I assume I am just SOL since Chevy never addressed this issue past 2019?

Anyone get theirs replaced and all went well? Any horror stories?

The transmission shudder issue (assuming this is your problem) was addressed in January 2019 with a new, non-hygroscopic Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF (automatic transmission fluid) HP product that became widely available a month or so later.

If a torque converter isn't excessively damaged, flushing the old fluid out and replacing it with the new fluid is sufficient to resolve the transmission shudder.

Now, if the TC damage kept occcurring over a longer period, especially in more humid climates, the fluid alone may not be enough, but even in those cases the new fluid plus a new torque converter should resolve the problem. Tuning the transmission is also an option as an extra guarantee that the shudder never returns or occurs in the first place.

...and yes, I understand this is painfully expensive with your car out of warranty and the TC replacement being an involved procedure that requires dropping the transmission, but this is how GM decided to handle the issue, not much anyone else can do to alleviate it.
