Completely agreed. 7k off msrp on a 7 year old car with 42k on it is over priced as hell.

Unless they are offering you a crazy large sum for your trade-in, assuming you're gonna swap your '16 for the '18, the Marauder is right- that's too much money. Had to laugh at the idea they would "reveal" my price in exchange for my contact info. The current "price" is $43K! That is likely what that car sold for 7 YEARS AGO. (sorry for the shouting, I get excitable over ridiculous rip-offs!) IMHO of course. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you really like it, get it!

So... I just got off the phone with these guys. $37,500.00 is the best they'll do + (TTL & Fees)... They also mentioned that this was a local guy who purchased this car ( 1 owner ) and traded it in.

I asked them if they'd reach out to him and give him my number or ask him if it's OK I reached out to him. Hell one owner original owner, why not talk to him if I could. They wouldn't contact him.

After they gave me their best price I told them I wasn't interested....

My hunt continues.... but with the prices I see online on Camaro's right now...I don't see it happening. Maybe someone will be trying to dump one over winter up here.

Should of never sold mine, but it is what it is now.

Yeah, theft out here isn't really an issue. Not to say it doesn't happen, or that you shouldn't take precaution, I'm just saying compared to national averages over theft, it's just not really a thing we worry about.


As for price, my gut feeling is that it's high at $43k. $37.5 doesn't feel grossly overpriced, but here' the thing. These are essentially still low mile, late model cars, AND they're not making 'em anymore. I guarantee someone out there is willing to pay $45k for that car. If the dealer has the patience, and finds that buyer.....before long, the prices DO actual start to go up. That's economics, and that IS what's happening out there. Been watching on the other forums and some cars similar to this are selling in the $40's. YOU might think it's crazy, but it doesn't mean that's not where the market is.

For the record, I sold my red 16 2SS a few years back. Logical decision, but turned out to be a terrible choice. Shoulda kept it. Bought my CURRENT Hyper Blue 16 2SS about a year ago. .....I'll eventually sell it, -but not yet!

Oh, I know it's where the market is... I've been looking for a few months now and most everything is right on par with this particular car.

Ahh.. Well you know how I feel then... Yes, mine was also 100% a logical decision. So this is my logic now. I'm in WI and normally will store my car in Nov(ish). Well Nov is only 2 months away and I'd be storing it anyway.

So I'll just kind of hunt from now through April 2026 and see if something comes up. I don't see the prices changing anytime soon.

For reference, there is a 2019 Black ZL1 6 speed at my local dealership. It has 25k miles on it and they are asking 63k at last check. The whole front end is massively peppered with rock chips, all rotors have alot of rust on the hubs, the interior driver's seat is definitely worn on the left bolster and the rear end license plate area has some damage on the plastic that the owner covered with flat black vinyl. Worth 63k...in MY opinion in the condition it's in...HELL NO! Unfortunately it seems MOST used Camaros will be overpriced just based on the fact they're not making them anymore....

Ya, I think there is a lot of truth to that. A while back I sold mine to Carvana. I got more for it then I paid for it 5 years ago... Carvana sold it for $34,500.00. It was clean and it had 60k miles on it.... So yep... prices are sky high.

As mentioned above... I made a bad decision, but I can't take it back now. Unfortunately, I don't see myself getting back into a Camaro. I'm just not willing to pay these prices. Not when I know what I got for mine and I had the red brembos, the MRR's, etc... Any other one I buy, I'd still have to add all that stuff again.

I'll never say never, but I'll just continue to look for now.
