BST Camaro build

The class formerly known as STU, I decided to build up my Camaro, lightly for BST. F sTreet has been fun but I have had the itch ever since my first camaro to build it for an ST class. Yes, CamC is also there but I like the uphill battle for BST.

Ill do some videos here and there on this build but also just probably post here more. I am not a youtuber, i do it when i can and for fun

Coilovers came in! Went with Shaftworks USA Blanx line! A lot of good options out there for this car but Lugod is a known autocrosser, knows how to setup and win, and i love helping others in this community! So we will see how these go!
https://shaftworksusa.com/collection...ts-shocks-only

Need to get these on, the springs kinda wore in then the car corner balanced! Stay tuned!

Good luck with with BST! I already have some mods that may not be ST-legal so I'll be sticking with CAMC.

It took me longer to place the remote res's on my shocks than it took to bolt them on. Fronts are near the shock towers (in front on the passenger side, behind on the driver's side), rears on top of the wheelwells. Some have put the rears through the trunk vents.

yeah thats what i am trying to figure out right now. the fronts with the strut tower brace under the hood is proving to be... difficult. I might just rivnut them to the tower brace. should work but idk if i like the look. rears might be around where yours are. Near the NPP valves

I didn't know Staftworks did camaro stuff. Ludgod is local to me but I ended up going with Guy Ankeny for my suspension setup. It should be ready in a week or two, waiting on parts.

I've seen other cars mount the shock reservoirs to a strut brace. The upside is that it makes accessing the damper settings super easy. In my mind, the downside is that they are exposed to the heat from the engine bay. Maybe that's really a non-issue, or maybe it's not a problem for autocross use where you can open the hood between 60-second runs. I'm not sure.

Here's a couple pics of my remotes. I made a mount out of kydex and then zip-tied them down. I've also seen mounting on the strut brace, it's a bad idea imo. Heat definitely has an effect on damping.

This just in: NASA reports the mysterious theft of radiant heat shielding from their latest satellite, delaying it's launch until new material can be procured.
The project's timeline remains in suspension while staff conduct a street tour to locate new supplies. Officials are shocked, but won't let it damp their enthusiasm for the project, which they say will let the agency once again strut its stuff.

Well got the front canisters mounted up. Some 2” p clips worked! Might need to add a little more to the canister as it doesn’t hold them super tight but they don’t really move so this will work. Rivnuts on the strut tower brace worked awesome! Looks good as well! Super happy with how this has gone so far!

Need to relocate the oil catch can. Not 100% sure where I am going to out that. I could drill and bolt it to the air box. It would work but not sure how I’ll like that look. That will be the next project after I get the rear canisters mounted up. Stay tuned
