Banks gauges and parameters

Okay, I’m at a loss. I’ve searched all over. Recently bought a banks gauge, got it installed.

I can’t get the ethanol content parameter. I’ve selected GM then global a and general engine type. Can’t get e to display.

Reset - same thing . Latest firmware. Same thing.

Old posts show different firmware screen than what I currently have. Anyone run into this? Am I choosing the wrong engine settings or gm type ?

Heeellppp thank you

Is it the new gauge or the older model? Also, just to make sure, you do have a flex fuel sensor installed and pinned to the ecm, and turned on correct?

I get to the screen the same way everyone else does, banks is really good with their customer service so if you give them a ring when they open they'll be ablet to help you out, that is if you don't figure it out before then.

Hey Bunny Boy... unfortunately Banks has been shipping out the new gauges missing some PIDS. They have been fixing them with firmware updates. I am told Ethanol will be added mid to late May... with the final firmware update coming in June to all most sensors to be able to connect directly the the PRO without the 4 channel adapter. Hope this helps.

Whelp that sucks, not sure why they would go backwards on firmware sending out new units.

Update -

This is confirmed an issue in the firmware.

Support basically said that they ran out of the Gen 1 idash's faster then they thought and didn't want to make a new batch of the Gen 1 so they just pushed out the Gen 2s and the firmware was not built out at all.

He gave me no time frame of when the fix would come, and just referred me to look at the release notes when new updates come out to see if a fix comes.

This is extremely displeasing to me, releasing a product early that does less than the prior gen. Now I wish I would have just got a p3.

Hope this helps someone else. I'll update this thread when I see the firmware get released that fixes this.

I'd just return the second gen and find a first gen somewhere.....that is BS that, that's the way they did it.

Thanks for the update, I was told the same thing. I agree it was unfortunate that they started shipping the PRO's with so many PID's missing, and I know some people will have had to wait 2 months for the final firmware update. I like to think the technology, information and value packed into these gauges was worth the waiting but thats just my 2 cents.
