Goodyear supercar 3 vs Nankang Crs v2!

Has anyone found any improvements comparing the two? Do the Nankang Crs sit a little taller?

I just tried mine out this past weekend. However, they are on 19” Apexes (305s in front). While it was my first time at Road Atlanta, I can say without a doubt the car has a ton more grip up front (for obvious reasons). I would like to get back to Barber on them for a more apples to apples comparison . So far, I’m very happy. The car doesn’t seem to sit any taller. They fill the wheel wells about the same IMO.

I’m new here and don’t know how to post pictures, sorry.

Hey redfish86, to the forums. Reading your post I'm not sure which ones you tried last weekend, but I assume they're the Nankangs. If so, they must be super awesome, I recall the SC3s being very-very grippy once they have some heat in them.

CRS are "super" 200tw made for autocross, time trials, and other races where 200tw tires are required by the rules. CRS need more heat than the competitors: RE71RS or Yok A052, and now Vitour P1, but less than the GY SC3. They'll also overheat faster than SC3, but offer a good bit more grip than the SC3. They probably won't last quite as long.

For track the Vitour P1s are hard to beat. In competition for the fastest 200tw tire but wears well and doesn't heat cycle out. It likes a similar heat range to CRS. I think it's like an improved version of the SC3 and am planning on buying a 2nd set. They also come in larger sizes... I managed to fit 345/30/18s, lol.

Thanks! I discovered this place from a link someone gave me on another board. That link is what got me my car (it was advertised here). I signed up back then but couldn’t post for some reason.

Yes, I ran the CRS V2 last weekend, I couldn’t be happier!

Nice shots! I’m not sure who the photographer was at this event, I didn’t catch his name. We will be at the ALS event at Barber in November, maybe will see yall there.

On a (sort of) related note; a big thanks to Apex wheels. Apparently I picked ip a rock between the RF caliper and wheel during a run, it grooved the wheel on the inside surface. A call to Apex on Wednesday and they had a new wheel on the way to me same day, and for half price under their replacement policy. Good folks out there in Cali.

November is a busy time for me as I will have the end October Madness of Petit LeMans, then SICK Week's "Sick In The Smokies" Drag & Drive event and of course a few Snowbird Yacht moves to Florida.

Here is the FB link for Tradd Slayton, one of the best Photogs!
