P015D bank 2 sensor 1 delayed response lean to rich
Hi guys,
I have '19 Camaro SS 1LE MT. Recently, got fault code P015D. After checking live data, it looked that bank 2 sensor 1 reacts slower than bank 1. I've changed that sensor, but after some time check engine appeared again with the same fault code. Now I'm a bit confused.LTFT in bank 2 is -7%, bank 1 +0,5%. Before bank 1 was -10%. Maybe someone had similar issue? What other things could cause this situation? Cars goes very good, acceleration good. After deleted fault, it doesn't appear for few days. And I don't know if it's related, but engine is shaking a bit on idle. I've read its normal, but maybe it has some connections... Thanks for help! |

A P015D code in a Chevy indicates a delayed O2 sensor response for Bank 2, Sensor 2. This usually means the powertrain control module (PCM) isn't receiving a normal response from the O2 sensor located downstream of the catalytic converter on the passenger side of the engine.
Common Causes: Defective O2 Sensor: The O2 sensor itself may be failing, contaminated, or experiencing wiring issues. Wiring Problems: Damaged, corroded, or poor connections in the wiring harness can hinder the sensor's signal. Exhaust Leaks: Leaks in the exhaust system can allow outside air to affect the O2 sensor readings. Other Potential Issues: Vacuum leaks, fuel injector problems, or a faulty ECM can also contribute to the code. Just did a quick google search for this: I'm sure some of the more mechanical guys will chime in. I do know the O2 Sensor is responsible for telling the ECM to enrich or lean out the fuel mixture, so if the engine is shaking a bit it is going to be related to fuel mixture and/or timing because of the bad/poor sensor responses. Something is affecting the sensor from proper readings.

So you are saying that it is not the first sensor (before cat), but the second sensor problem? Which issues would cause permanent fault? Because as I said, the fault is not permanent, it appears randomly.
